Vet techs perform the technical work concerned with animal health in support of the hospital’s systems and protocols.
Performance of this work requires a practical knowledge of animal health conditions and the ability to assist the veterinarians to the fullest extent in the care and well-being of the patients, relieving the veterinarians of as much technical and administrative work as possible. It also requires the ability to communicate with, educate, and counsel clients on all types of care involving their pets.
